The General Meeting of the Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic was held on Friday, 7 November 2008 in Prague.
Ing. Jiri Nekovar was elected as the President of the Chamber. During the election he obtained support of more than 91 % of delegates at the General Meeting. Ing. Jiri Skampa was elected as the Vice President.

Ing. Alena Foukalova, Ing. Marie Konecna, Ing. Petra Pospisilova, Ing. Jana Skalova, Ing. Vladimir Snek, Mgr. Edita Sevcovicova, Ing. Jana Vlkova became other Members of the Presidium of the Chamber.
At the same time also the Supervisory Committee and the Disciplinary Committee of the Chamber were elected.
The main point of the agenda of the elective General Meeting which was held on 7 November 2008 in Prague Žofín was the election of the new bodies.
The participants were greeted at the beginning by the Minister of Finance, Miroslav Kalousek, who highly appreciated the role which is played by the Chamber in the field of tax legislation. Among other guests who evaluated positively cooperation with the Chamber it is necessary to mention the Deputy Minister of Finance, Petr Chrenko, and the President of the Economic Chamber, Petr Kužel, as well as other guests from the field of professional autonomous bodies and state administration. A key deliverable of the General Meeting was the approval of the amended wording of the Statutes, which is newly dealing with the position of legal entities carrying on tax consultancy, and to which the professional standards are to newly apply.
The General Meeting discussed also the issues of insurance of Tax Advisers and certain procedural issues. The Report on the Chamber’s activities included, among other things, the evaluation of the fifteen years of existence of the Chamber which has gradually built up a significant position towards its partners as well as towards the public, whereby it has successfully fulfilled its mission declared by applicable law regulations.
